- Born in the city of Homs in 21/12/1933
- Married with six children.
- Worked in the Syrian armed forces for 26 years and retired in
2/1/1976 with the rank of "Brigadier General" after two years of
service at this rank.
- Holds a degree in law from the Syrian University, as all the
military courses when he was in the service, and last one
"Certificate of Staff and Command" in all courses at the Command
and Staff College in Syria since 1966.
- Currently working in the field of strategic studies and
military since 1/4/1984. His articles and researches are published
in many specialist magazines and Arab communities.
- Has been assigned as a participant teacher (Fellow) since 2001
for lecturing at the Higher Military Academy in Syria in the field
of strategic studies and international relations.
- Participated in the wars of Arab - Israeli 1956, 1967, 1973
and holds the Medal of Courage and the Syrian Medal of Merit, the
Medal of King Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud. Add to ten a variety of other
Medals. Also he is well known in the Arabic cultural community.
- Consistently writes in the journal "Arab defense" of Lebanon,
and the Journal of "defense" in Saudi Arabia and some of his
articles are published in Syrian newspapers as well. Also invited
to participate in TV seminars in both Syria and Lebanon during
important international events.
- Died: January 13, 2014.
